The Kuna Percussion Ensemble is made up of all the percussion students in the Band Program. This ensemble performs contemporary and standard works for concert percussion ensemble, as well as transcriptions and new works. In addition to performing percussion ensemble works, the Kuna Percussion Ensemble also provides the percussion sections for both the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band. The Percussion Ensemble works to build fundamental rudimental and technical skills to prepare students for classical percussion playing.

Each year the Concert Band performs at several local events. These events include various local concerts, community events, the District III Band Festival, Graduation and Concert Clinics. The Kuna Concert Band may travel as part of a spring performance tour at special events such as the Disney Performing Arts Series.

Membership in the Percussion Ensemble is open to students in grades 9 - 12 and is by director approval only. The ensemble begins rehearsing as a concert percussion group at the conclusion of marching band, and participation in marching band is a requirement for membership. Membership in Percussion Ensemble is a requirement for all percussion students in all grades and serves as their "regular band class".
