Kuna Concert BandThe Kuna Concert Band is the developmental concert ensemble of the Kuna High School Band Program, designed for students to build a music foundation. This ensemble performs contemporary and standard works for wind band, as well as transcriptions and new works. The Concert Band works to prepare students for participation in the Wind Ensemble and outside honor groups.
Each year the Concert Band performs at several local events. These events include various local concerts, community events, the District III Band Festival, Graduation and Concert Clinics. The Kuna Concert Band may travel as part of a spring performance tour at special events such as the Disney Performing Arts Series. The Concert Band is primarily made up of students in grades 9-10, though membership is open to students in grades 9-12. Membership is by director approval only. The ensemble begins rehearsing at the conclusion of marching band, and participation in marching band is a requirement for membership.
