Kuna Jazz IIThe Kuna Jazz II is the developmental jazz ensemble of the Kuna High School Band Program. This ensemble performs contemporary and standard works for jazz band, as well as combos and new works. Jazz II works to build fundamental improvisational and technical jazz skills in students that will prepare them for participation in the Jazz I and outside honor groups.
Each year Jazz II performs at several local events. These events include various local concerts, community events, the District III Jazz Festival, and Clinics. Jazz II may travel in the spring to an out-of-area jazz festival. Membership in Jazz II is open to all students in grades 9 - 12. Participation in marching and a concert ensemble is a requirement for membership. Jazz II Information |
